A computer game that requires a web browsing application to run and work. Browser games can be designed for single or multiplayer fun and represent various genres (including dexterity, adventure, logic, strategy, cRPG). Their common denominator is the relative simplicity of the game and high affordability even for casual players, among which they enjoy enormous interest (e.g. games available on social networks).
Initially, browser games were just simple applications made in flash or in the javascript programming language. Currently, more and more often these are complex productions, using the capabilities of advanced graphics engines (e.g. Unity 3D).
